Courses taken for a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies must be taken on a letter-grade basis, unless permission is granted by the program coordinator.

To complete a minor, students must pass GWS ID 26, Introduction to Women’s Studies; GWS 180, Transnational Feminist Theory; and four electives from at least two of the three curricular divisions (Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences). One of the four electives must be a course that is cross-listed with Asian American Studies, Black Studies or Chicano Studies.
